Description
Acacia honey is light, almost transparent, with a slight amber tint, and white after crystallization. The color depends on the variety of honeybush acacias: white acacia — light, yellow — a delicate lemon shade.
Consistency: more liquid than other varieties of honey, which makes it a preferred ingredient for chefs and pastry chefs.
Taste: pleasant, sweet with hints of vanilla, without sourness and aftertaste.
Aroma: mild, very delicate, subtle, floral with a hint of vanilla.
Usage: in cooking, acacia honey is widely used in drinks (hot and cold), with yogurt, cottage cheese, with pancakes, fritters, in various desserts, pastries and other dishes.
Benefits: Acacia honey is considered hypoallergenic due to its low pollen content. It has immunostimulating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties. The enzymes contained in nectar help digestion and metabolism in the body. Antiseptic properties help to treat eczema, dermatitis, ulcers that do not heal wounds.
